Rachel Green
Funeral Director ~ Life Celebrant
rgreen@mtnviewcremation.com
Rachel was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, but moved to Northern Virginia in high school. Rachel attended Georgetown University with an interest in psychology but later decided, after the death of her grandfather, that she had a greater interest in funeral service. She obtained her degree in mortuary science from the University of the District of Columbia as a second career. Rachel came to Western North Carolina to be closer to her family and enjoy the mountains. When Rachel is not working, she enjoys hiking, camping, playing with her cats, writing, and working with her resin art. Rachel is also a certified celebrant and enjoys working with families to create a meaningful customized service to meet their needs. As a funeral director and celebrant in the Asheville area, Rachel is passionate about helping families honor their loved one in nonconventional ways that can include alternative death care and employing new trends in funeral service and memorialization that don’t always occur in traditional funeral service.

Tango
Grief Specialist
Tango joined the staff of Mountain View in 2019. He is regularly found sunbathing by the front door or in his favorite green high-back chair.
Tango spends his days greeting families when they come to make arrangements and he occasionally likes to sniff through ladies purses left on the floor for any goodies within his flat-face reach. He is Cindy’s constant companion at work providing her and grieving families with some distraction and enjoyment during a very difficult time.
