Obituary For Blanche Juanita Barton

Blanche Juanita Barton, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2023, at the age of 93. Born on October 25, 1930, in Greenville, South Carolina, Blanche brought joy and love to all those who knew her.

Blanche was preceded in death by her mother, Sallie Osteen, her loving husband, Kenneth Barton, her daughters Barbara James, Geneva Lynn Barton, and Doris Ann Barton, as well as two great-grandchildren, John Hunter James and Ashley James. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Sallie Edwards and Agnas Smith, and three brothers, Thomas, Joe, and Bill Osteen.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sally Iversen of Brevard, and her son, Lee Barton of Arizona. Blanche is also survived by her two sister-in-laws, Agnas Osteen and Imogene Osteen, along with a large and loving extended family. She leaves behind 21 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and an incredible 42 great-great-grandchildren. Blanche's warm heart and caring nature will be deeply missed by her numerous nieces and nephews.

Services to honor Blanche's life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at 2pm with a graveside service at Pisgah Memorial Gardens in Brevard. Family and friends are invited to come together to pay their final respects and find solace in each other's company during this time of mourning.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Lisa and Kaylee Thomas, Judy Thomas, and Billy and Debbie James for their unwavering support and dedication in caring for Blanche. Their kindness and compassion provided comfort to Blanche and her loved ones during this difficult time.

Blanche Juanita Barton will forever be remembered for her love, kindness, and the lasting impact she had on the lives of those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace.
