Obituary For Bobby Eugene Coxe, Sr.

Bobby Eugene Coxe, Sr., 86 of Alexander, NC, passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on March 18, 2024. He was born on May 2, 1937, in Alexander, NC. to the late Carl and Lela Debruhl Coxe. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Ernestine Parker and brother Bill Cox.

Bobby had a successful career, owning his own custom cabinet company before starting his own company as a boom truck operator. He was known for his kindness, often bringing fellow co-workers doughnuts and Mountain Dews.

One of Bobby's passions was airplanes, and he enjoyed taking his family to the airport to watch them take off and land. He also proudly served in the US Airforce as an E3 Veteran.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Muriel Jack Coxe, whom he called "Poogie"; children, Debra Curl (James), Bobby Coxe, Jr., and Donna Bradford (Bill); sisters, Beatrice Hawkins, Marybelle Bullman, and Ann Martin; grandchildren, Melissa Bledsoe (Mike), Phillip Roberts (Amy), Jeffrey Pace (Kristin), Jodi Coxe, Justin Coxe, Aaron Bradford (Danielle), Dawn Frazier (Roland), Samuel Bradford (Megan), Timothy Bradford (Haley), and Christopher Bradford (Nicole); 22 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews who cherished him deeply.

Graveside services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Red Oak Church of Christ.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Madison Hospice.

Bobby Eugene Coxe, Sr. will be remembered fondly for his generosity, love of family, and dedication to his work. May he rest in peace.

    Zeke, I am so glad I got to Facetime you and you finally told me "I Love You"! Only took you 49 years, 5 months before I wore you down! I know you would appreciate that humor. I get that from you. Also glad that you made it back to "The Hill, before you kicked the bucket!" as requested. I will miss you immensely and I am so proud to call you my grandpa!
