Obituary For Carla Jean Rosenstock Jr.
On October 25, 2022, our bright ray of sunshine, Carla Jean Rosenstock Jr. joined our beautiful mother in Heaven above. After a courageous battle with breast cancer, her body could take no more. But we rest easy knowing that her soul is with our lord and savior, Jesus Christ.
Carla was preceded in death by her mother, Carla Rosenstock-Workman,; father, Warren Arnold Rosenstock, Sr.; and brother, Warren Arnold Rosenstock, Jr.
She now watches over her stepfather of 39 years, Robert Workman of Alexander, NC; siblings, Joy Keys of Land O' Lakes, Florida, Carol Cahill of Hudson, Florida, Lisa Rosenstock-Harper of Hendersonville, North Carolina; siblings, Kim Hollister of Alexander, North Carolina, Jennifer Patterson of Yukon, Oklahoma, Lori Sandavohl of El Reno, Oklahoma, and Robbie Workman of El Reno, Oklahoma. Carla also watches over her nieces and nephews, whom she absolutely adored. Her sweetheart fur baby, Buddy, is being well taken care of by his Aunt Lisa. He misses her and snuggles in her blanket and stuffed animals every day.
Carla was an avid volunteer. She volunteered at Bear Creek Nursing Center for 17 years. Her beautiful smile was contagious, and she would spread it throughout the center. She had a great love for the very old and very young, the innocence filled her with hope for our future. Carla never had a cross word to say about anyone and was a friend to all.
Carla grew up in East Hartford, Connecticut, where she met her lifelong best friends Kellie Decapua and Kristy Day-Dalpez. She felt so blessed to have Kellie and Kristy by her side in childhood and through adulthood and loved them deeply. Carla also had friends and pen pals from around the world, as she had a passion for writing.
A celebration of her life will be held in Odessa, Florida on December 4th, 2022. In lieu of gifts to the family, we ask that you adopt and angel/child for the holidays. Carla loved nothing more than to see a child full of smiles when she would donate and volunteer for many outreach programs.
