Obituary For Catherine Anne Rancourt

Catherine Anne Rancourt, age 77, of Hendersonville passed away at Four Seasons Hospice in Hendersonville on December 18, 2024.

Catherine was born on March 4, 1947 in Bronx, NY to the late Michael Benek and Anne Benek.

Catherine was a beautiful person, very caring, Catherine always had a smile on her face. Catherine loved children she was a mentor to them and loved helping them. Catherine never spoke a negative word about anyone. Catherine's husband loved her to the end he cherished her. Catherine was a loving devoted person. Catherine loved her church Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she loved reading to the children, helping others, and just been a positive influence to anyone's life.

Those left to cherish Catherine are her husband Lawrence Rancourt of 52 years. her brother, Bob Benek and a numerous amount of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Catherine's life will be held at a later date.

    Cathy, my cousin, but chosen sister, you will be missed! Our lives and families were entwined from my earliest memories. We were partners in crime, friends to the world, family to all in our large family of aunts, uncles and cousins. We grew up together, went places together, hung out with the same people, prepared for my wedding and then prepared for your wedding. Boy did you worry that day that Larry wouldn't make it to the church! it was raining like crazy and flooding on the highways from his house. But, when it rains on your wedding, you will be blessed...and that you were! You were with a wonderful man who loved and cared for you until the end. You had moved to Florida and then North Carolina, but we never lost touch (as our three-hour phone calls each week will attest!) You were Godmother for my son, you were my confidant and guidance counselor, but most of all you were my BEST FRIEND! Thank you for your love and support always. Rest in peace until we meet again!
