Obituary For Christopher Eugene O'Flynn

Christopher Eugene O'Flynn, born on December 4, 1964, bid farewell to the world on September 17, 2023, at the age of 58. Born in the small town of Picayune, Mississippi, he found his final resting place in Mills River, North Carolina.

Chris, as he was fondly known, lived a life full of zest and humor. For two decades, he owned and ran The Pit Stop convenience store in his hometown of Picayune. From sunrise to sunset, Chris greeted his customers with a warm smile and a quick wit that brightened their days.

Beyond his work, Chris had a passion for literature, fishing, and football. You could always find him with a book in hand, casting his line into the water, or cheering on his favorite team. But what truly defined Chris was his unwavering dedication to helping others. He possessed an innate ability to lend a helping hand and touch the lives of those around him. Truly, he was an amazing man.

Survived by his loving parents, Michael and Judy O'Flynn of Biloxi, MS, Chris leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. In addition, Chris is survived by his sister, Erin (Sean) Dunston and his nephew, Caiden Dunston. He will be deeply missed by his adoring wife, Jennifer Guerrera-O'Flynn, and his stepdaughter, Destiny (Chase) Chapoton of Carriere, MS, and honorary daughter Jeannette (Jesse) Quintana of Picayune, MS. He also leaves behind his stepson, Michael Wheat of Carriere, MS, currently residing in Oxford, MS at Ole Miss. Chris was immensely proud of his grandson, Arlo Michael Chapoton, who brought immense joy into his life.

To honor Chris's memory, a memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Christian Life Assembly of God, located at 1015 Hwy 43 Picayune, MS 39466. The service will be officiated by Rev. Darrell Worley and Brother Gary Allen. Prior to the service, family and friends will gather to pay their respects one hour in advance.

As we gather to celebrate the life of Christopher Eugene O'Flynn, let us remember him for his wit, his kindness, and his unwavering love for his family and friends. Though he may no longer be with us, his spirit will forever live on in our hearts. Farewell, Chris, you will be deeply missed.
