Obituary For David Allen Elliott

David Allen Elliott, 81, of Arden, NC passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Life Care of Hendersonville.

David was born in Asheville, NC on August 18,1941 to the late Jesse James and Nell Coleman Elliott. For most of his life he lived in Asheville and Arden, NC.

David was a devout Christian and raised two children after losing his wife in 1985. Although he was blind and hard of hearing, he would mow lawns and repair lawnmowers to put his kids through Christian school.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Sue Elliott; four brothers; and two sisters.

He is survived by daughter, Amy Poston and husband, Jay of Fort Mills, SC; son, John Elliott and wife, Laurie of Hendersonville, NC; and four grandchildren.

A celebration of David's life will be held at 12noon on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Boiling Springs Baptist Church, 1291 Fanning Bridge Rd. Fletcher, NC 28732.

    Kim and I would like to offer our condolences to the family. David was an excellent mechanic and showed his love to his family. I would travel to David's house often trading around and helping him or take his somewhere. Now he's with Jesus and his wife that he truly missed. Kim and I love you David and enjoy all that heaven has to offer. God loveth the cheerful giver and that was you rest in piece my friend.

    I enjoyed spending holidays with David. He was a happy and kind person who was so forthcoming with his expression of love for his family and friends.
