Obituary For Eileen Van Wieren Thomas

Eileen Thomas, beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, passed away on January 30, 2024, at the age of 72. She was born on July 18, 1951, in Midland Park, New Jersey, to Bernard and Agnus Marie Dykestra Van Wieren.

Eileen fought a courageous battle against lung and bone cancer for two years before her passing. Her strength and determination were an inspiration to all who knew her. Eileen's unwavering spirit and positive attitude served as a testament to her resilience.

After many years of dedicated service, Eileen retired from Park Ridge Hospital, where she made a lasting impact on both her colleagues and the patients she cared for. Her commitment to her work was evident in her compassionate nature and unwavering dedication.

Eileen was a devoted member of Pinecrest Presbyterian, where she found solace and community. She cherished her time spent in fellowship and worship, finding comfort and guidance in her faith.

Eileen is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Thomas, and son, Josh Thomas. She also leaves behind her twin brother, Kenneth Van Wieren, sisters Lois DeWitt and Lori Kinlaw, and brother Chris Van Wieren. Eileen's memory will forever be treasured by her grandchild, Gracen Thomas, who brought immense joy to her life.

A celebration of Eileen's life will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at 2:30 pm at Pinecrest Presbyterian. Family, friends, and all those touched by Eileen's presence are invited to join in commemorating her life and the impact she made on those around her.

In this time of mourning, let us remember Eileen's strength, kindness, and unwavering love. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire and uplift us all.
