Obituary For Helen H. Toler
Sarah Helen Harper Toler, 71 of Asheville, NC passed away on July 4, 2022. Born in Sanford, NC to the late Monter “Mike” Blaine and Mary Elizabeth Shaw Harper.
A graduate of Wingate College, she worked as an administrative assistant with the Rocky Mount Police Department and as her most rewarding role, a stay-at-home mother.
She loved to bake for her friends and family, enjoyed entertaining, playing cards and board games with her friends. She was an active member of her church, singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School. Her love of music was displayed through playing the piano and accumulating a vast record collection. She was immensely devoted to her family and took great pride in being the best mother and wife she could possibly be.
Survivors include her loving husband of 45 years, Michael David Toler; sons, Robert Toler (Ginger) of Newland, NC and David Pugh (Carly) of Boone, NC; sisters, Mary Lou Cooper of Newland and Kathy Harper of Durham; grandchildren, Kallista and Cooper Toler both of Newland.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Banner Elk Presbyterian Church or Four Seasons Hospice.

She loved to make chocolate chip cookies and always had them when I went to visit...even when she wasn't supposed to be out of bed. I loved my little sister very much and light this yellow candle because yellow was her favorite color! Kathy
