Ingrid Maier Wells, age 84, of Arden, NC, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at
Fletcher Rehabilitation & Health Center. Born on March 10, 1940, in Kirrlach, Germany, she
was the daughter of the late Josef and Maria Maier.

Ms. Wells graduated from the Park’s School of Business in Denver, CO, and retired from NCDC
/ NOAA in 2000 after 26 years as a Meteorology Technician. She also sold Real Estate with
Century 21 in Garland, TX.

She loved to travel and cherished all her friends and neighbors at The Hills at Avery Creek. Ms. Wells also loved animals and rescued several dogs over her lifetime.

In addition to her parents, Josef and Maria Maier, she was preceded in death by her husband,
John F. Wells; and her infant son, David C. Wells.

Left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Daniela Wells of Candler, NC, and Carol W. Franklin, and her husband, Kevin of St.Augustine, FL; grandchildren, Brandon Wells, Jonathan Wells, Aaron Wells and his wife, Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Gavin Wells and Dante’ Wells; her sister, Inge Hoffner and her husband, Dieter of Kirrlach, Germany; her sister-in-law, Marjorie Miller of Linden, MI; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
