Obituary For Jack Warren Weston

Jack Weston Jr., 72, passed away on December 26, 2024, at his home in Hendersonville, NC, after a 3 1/2-year battle with cancer.

Jack was born in Henderson County, NC, the son of Jack Sr. and Pauline Shipman Weston, in November 1952. He attended Henderson County schools and graduated from Hendersonville High School. He also attended and received training at both Georgia Tech and Blue Ridge Community College.

Jack was married to his wife, Sue Huffman Weston, in July 1982. They are parents to two sons, Nicholas (Nick) Weston of Hendersonville and Matthew (Matt) Weston of Rock Hill. Jack’s family includes his daughter-in-law, Dana Dowdy, and their granddaughter, Riley Weston, both of Rock Hill. He is also survived by his brother, John Weston of Hendersonville, and John’s daughters, Crystal and her family, and Melissa. Jack was a beloved brother to his wife’s five sisters and “Uncle Jack” to numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

The Weston family was deeply involved in drag racing across the Southeast, a passion that carried over to their son Matt, who continues to race when possible. The Weston family cherishes countless friends and connections from around the country who have provided comfort and support during this incredibly difficult journey.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the ICU staff at Pardee Hospital and the nurses from Four Seasons Hospice for all they did in these last few months.

A special thank you goes to Dr. Navin Anthony for the treatment and care provided by you and your staff.

Thank you to our family and friends for all the support through these past few years.

A Celebration of Jacks life will be held at his home on January, 11, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm. The family ask if you have a lawn chair feel free to bring them.

Mountain View Cremation & Funeral Care has the honor of serving the family.
