Obituary For Jane Simoneau Cherry

Jane Ellen Simoneau Cherry of Hendersonville passed away on November 8, 2024 at the age of 77.

Jane was born on July 29, 1947 in Nashua, New Hampshire to parents Rene and Mary Simoneau. She lived most of her adult life in Fayetteville and Hendersonville, NC. Jane worked many years for Western Publishing Company in Fayetteville as a logistic specialist and was know for her dedication, efficiency, organization and leadership.

She was the beloved wife of John W. Cherry III (Jack) for 58 years. Together they were often seen hand in hand, and their inseparable bond was a testament to their love and commitment to each other and their family. Jane was the loving mother of John W. Cherry IV of Salisbury, NC and Julie Edge of Hendersonville, NC. She was also the treasured grandmother of Keegan Edge and Nolan Edge of Hendersonville, NC.

In addition to her deep devotion to her family, Jane had a passion for life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed cross-stitching and loved playing card and board games, especially against her grandsons. Jane was know for her world-famous spaghetti sauce and her Christmas morning French toast, which became cherished family traditions.

Jane is survived by her siblings Ann Rose Simoneau of Fayetteville, Constance Simoneau of Boone and Arthur Simoneau (Jean) of Tabor City.

She is preceded in death by her father Rene Simoneau, her mother Mary Simoneau and her brother Richard Simoneau.

The family would like to thank the staff of Sunnybrook Assisted Living and Four Seasons Hospice for making her final months comfortable.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Four Seasons Hospice. To honor her wishes, there will be no funeral service.

    Jane was a rare gem of a person....i never heard her anything unkind about anyone....she loved Christmas and spent much time on selecting the perfect gift...she will be missed but she was dearly loved....Jill Conkwright
