Obituary For Judy Ann Durfee
Judy Ann Durfee, 77 of Flat Rock, graduated into the Kingdom of Heaven and now rests in the arms of Jesus, completely set free from all sickness and pain. The only scars she knows now are on the Hands of the One Who holds her in Eternal Love.
Judy was born at St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee. WI and was the only daughter of Lee J. and Florence Allie. She was preceded in death by her parents, her only brother, Robert and her only child, James Lee "Jimmy" Durfee, who recently died in a car accident on February 23, 2022 in Charleston, S.C.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Patricia Durfee, of Milwaukee, WI., her nephew, Chris Durfee and nieces, Lori Corbett and Lisa Jurecki and by her loving husband of 57 years: James D. "Jim" Durfee. She is also survived by many friends, and her special friend of 53 years, Lyn.
Jim and Judy moved to Hendersonville, N.C., in 1984 from Milwaukee, W.I. and loved every moment in the mountains they fondly called their own. Judy worked at Fletcher Hospital, Tooley's and Haus Heidelberg restaurants and was a licensed Real Estate Assistant to her husband for many years. A great release and source of enjoyment were the motorcycle trips and RV’ing in which she shared with her husband. All who knew her agreed she was truly a beautiful lady with a sweet, winning smile and kind disposition. A wonderful mother and wife, she was also a faithful and powerful intercessor of the Lord Jesus Christ. Against many illnesses including Crohn’s disease and ultimately cancer she remained trustful and grateful to the Lord Jesus Christ.
She was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Back on Track Addiction Ministry, 1900 Spartanburg Hwy, Hendersonville, NC 28792, will be thankfully received.
Condolences
