Obituary For Judy Margaret Fortune

Judy Margaret Fortune, of Hendersonville, passed away on December, 25,2024 at the age of 73, Born on March, 13, 1951, in Henderson County to Wesley Elmo Ballard and Mildred Kathrine Ballard.

Judy was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A friend to many, she was a cherished member of her community in Hendersonville leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength.

Judy is predeceased by her parents, Wesley Elmo Ballard and Mildred Kathrine Ballard, her brothers, Floyd Ballard and Ray Ballard, her sister Dot Clingenpeel.

Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Chris Fortune, Brent Fortune, Shane Fortune (Debra), her sisters, Janice Thomas (Charles), Maryilyn Barnwell, her brothers, Larry Ballard (Melba), Charles Ballard (Kay),her longtime best friend Shelby Moody, her grandchildren, Mercedes Melton, Haden, Tanner, Maddox Fortune.

A Celebration of Judy's life will be held at a later date.
