Obituary For Larry Dean Hensley

Larry Dean Hensley, age 79, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away on March 6, 2024. He was born on October 30, 1944, in Greenwood, South Carolina.

Throughout his life, Larry worked as a meat cutter for Ingles and later owned both Larry's Lawn & Landscaping and Larry's Asphalt. His dedicated work ethic and passion for his businesses were evident to all who knew him.

Larry found joy in spending time with his family, especially his beloved wife of 58 years, Martha Ruth Morrow Hensley, his daughters Pam Hensley and Tammy Crowder, his grandchildren Hayden Allred, Parker Summey, and Dawson Crowder and his siblings Roger Hensley, Hazel Keith, Ann Austin and Sherry Hensley and a host of nieces and nephews. He cherished moments with his kids and grandkids, and enjoyed hobbies such as fishing, hunting, golfing, and tinkering in his garage and garden.

A faithful member of Bethel Wesleyan Church, Larry's presence will be deeply missed by the community. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Bertie Blackwell Hensley, his sister, Peggy Sanders, and his brothers, Rocky and Donnie Hensley.

A service to honor and celebrate Larry's life will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Bethel Wesleyan Church. Visitation will take place from 2:30-3:30pm, followed by the service at 3:30pm, officiated by Rev. Tim Clark.

Larry will be remembered for his hard work, love for his family, sense of humor and dedication to his community. May he rest in peace.
