Obituary For Muriel Ann Coxe

Muriel Ann Coxe, born on December 3, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, peacefully passed away on April 2, 2024, in Alexander, North Carolina, after battling an extended illness. She was surrounded by her loving family at the time of her passing. Muriel was 87 years old.

Muriel dedicated her life to being a caring homemaker and mother, finding joy in caring for her family. She had a passion for singing hymns with her beautiful voice and was known for her love of reading books.

She was a faithful member of the Red Oak Church of Christ, where she found solace and community. Muriel is survived by her children, Debra Curl (James) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Bobby Coxe, Jr., Donna Bradford (Bill) of Alexander; her grandchildren, Melissa Bledsoe (Mike) of Kennesaw, GA, Phillip Roberts (Amy) of Laurens, SC, Jeffrey Pace (Kristin) of Hendersonville, Jodi Coxe, Justin Coxe, Aaron Bradford (Danielle) of Long Beach, CA, Dawn Frazier (Roland) of Rancho Sante Fe, CA, Samuel Bradford (Megan) of Los Lunas, NM, Timothy Bradford (Haley) of Charleston, SC, and Christopher Bradford (Nicole) of Waynesville; as well as 22 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Shelton, her brother, Robert Jack (Ann), and numerous nieces and nephews whom she cherished deeply.

Muriel is preceded in death by her parents, Earl Leroy Jack, Sr. and Helen Anna Blitz Jack, her husband of 67 years, Bobby E. Coxe, Sr., and her brother Earl Jack, Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Red Oak Church of Christ.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Red Oak Church of Christ and/or Madison Home Care & Hospice.

Muriel Ann Coxe will be remembered for her kind heart, her love for her family, and her unwavering faith. May she rest in peace.
