Sean Michael Rigotti, 35, of Asheville, NC, passed away after a brief illness, Friday, October 14, 2022, at Mission Hospital, Asheville.Born in Hazleton, PA, Sean spent his formative years in Florida, where he attended Olympic Heights High School, Boca Raton, before graduating from his beloved Florida State University. Recently, he moved to western North Carolina to explore the mountains and be closer to family.Sean deserved more, decades more, but the impact he has had on friends and family in his short time here shines through with the amount of love, support, and good humor that not only punctuated his last days, but also defined every personal interaction with him, and every story we will tell about him.Sean was preceded in death by his mother Michele in 2003 as well as grandparents Mary Helen and Joseph Thomas, Lattimer, PA and Regina and Fred Rigotti, Hazleton.He is survived by his loving wife Rachel, Asheville; parents Jim and Lori, Jacksonville, FL; brother Dan and his wife Jodi; sister Mariann Thomas Grogan and her husband Justin, all of Asheville; sister Alli Lebowitz and her partner Curtis, Fort Lauderdale, FL; and brother Joe and his partner Catie, Portland, OR. He was a fun-loving nephew to Jim and Mary Thomas, Lattimer and Bob and Kathy Rigotti, Jacksonville. He was a doting uncle to Quinnie and Teddy Grogan; Mia, Benjamin, and Louis Flanz; and Ridley Hemmingway. He was a begrudging dog dad to ungrateful, malevolent dachshund, Frank. He was a loyal, steadfast friend to too many to mention.In lieu of gifts, the family asks that you take care of yourself and hug your friends and family a little bit tighter. Go Noles.
