Obituary For Virginia Elizabeth Baker

Virginia Elizabeth Baker, 95 of Pisgah Forest, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 10, 2021 at her home where she went on to eternal rest with her Lord. She was the daughter of the late Reverend William Perry and Ruth Rowell Brooks. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, James R. Baker and their daughter Linda B. Taylor of Pisgah Forest.

Mrs. Baker worked several jobs in her lifetime most notably Pratt and Whitney Aircraft and, for over 15 years, the United States Postal Service. She then became a full-time caregiver for her daughter, husband, mother and mother-in-law at times in their lives when she was needed. She possessed many skills and talents, her favorites being sewing, quilting, counted cross stitch, and embroidery. She simply was an artist with a needle and thread. Mrs. Baker enjoyed music during her life. With a beautiful alto voice she sang in the church choir and a quartet along with leading the choir at times.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her sister Eva (Wayne) Netzler of Boynton Beach, FL, her son John "Reid" Baker (Cheryl) of Pisgah Forest 3 grandchildren Amy Baker, Sarah (Bryce) Malemezian, Timothy Baker and 4 great- grandchildren Bethany and Molly Malemezian and Savannah and Aspen Baker.

She was immensely loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Private services will be held at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL on Friday, September 24, 2021.
