William Alfred Morgan, 90, of Brevard, NC passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. William was a native of Transylvania County and was born on Saturday, May 14, 1932, to the late Gus Morgan and Dovie Kuykendall Morgan.William was also preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Gertrude Anders Morgan; son, Jerry Morgan; his two sisters; and his fourbrothers.He was proud of his livelihood and spent most of his career as a carpenter. When he wasn’t working, he was an avid outdoorsman,spending a lot of his time hunting and fishing. William also spent a lot of time throughout the years on See Off Mountain, cherishing his timewith his family. His Baptist faith was also important to him throughout his life. William was welcoming to all people. He was a storyteller and had many words of wisdom to share.William is survived by his sons, William Morgan, Jr. (Christy) of South Carolina, Larry Morgan (Tammy), Garry Lee Morgan (Lynne), and Carol Morgan (Nancy), all of Transylvania County, NC; daughters, Norma Dale (Kevin) of Crossville, TN, and Charlene Garland (Jim) of Brevard, NC; and sister, Anna Lee Barton. William is also survived by 20 grandchildren,34 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.A graveside service will be held at Holden Cemetery, on See Off Road in Brevard, NC on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 3PM.Papa, we will cherish your memory everyday of our lives until the very end ~ Love Always, Your Family!
