Obituary For Winde Weaver McKeown

Winde Weaver McKeown, born in Lexington, SC on November 7, 1975, and raised in Mount Holly, NC, passed away at her home in East Flat Rock, NC on January 24, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 48 years old.

With a career spanning 13 years, Winde dedicated her time and energy to Denny's in Hendersonville, serving as both a waitress and manager. Her commitment and friendly demeanor made her a beloved member of the team, leaving a lasting impression on all those she encountered.

Outside of work, Winde had a passion for reading and showering her dogs with love. Her furry companions were always by her side, providing comfort and companionship throughout her journey.

Winde's vivacious personality and quick wit brought joy to the lives of those around her. She had a knack for finding humor in every situation, leaving everyone with a smile on their face.

Winde is preceded in death by her father, Charles Harold Branch, husband Samuel McKeown, and grandparents, James and Annie Mae Weaver. She is survived by her mother, Cecilia Weaver Styles, and husband Bobby of Mount Holly, her sister Deborah Lanning of Mills River, and her brother Paul Lowery and wife Alexis of Mount Holly. She also leaves behind nieces Kenzlie Howard, Alliana, and Betsy Mendez, special friend Bubba Webb and his son Columbus Webb Jr. “Little Man” who will cherish their memories together.

A celebration of Winde's life will be held at a later date to honor her vibrant spirit and the impact she had on those who knew her.

In the face of adversity, Winde displayed unwavering strength and resilience. Her memory will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her. May she rest in peace, forever loved and remembered.

    when she was little she always had to talk to everyone my daddy her papa called the ms mouthy one of West Columbia and her cousin was mousy b/c Winde never let her talk I am missing you so much already aiso she is 13 yrs older than her brother she would always tell him he was a shaved puppy and much more miss you baby a/f remember luv ya
